The Crown Building, instead of setbacks, it is topped with an octagonal “hat,” a copper roof, and plenty of gilded details, including a gold crown. Surprisingly, given the glassy, modernist look of its current home, the Museum of Modern Art was originally housed on the 12th floor of the Crown Building, back in 1929.

 • The Chrysler Building in New York City was built in 1930. For a few months, this Art Deco skyscraper was the tallest structure in the world. It was also one of the first buildings composed of stainless steel over a large exposed surface.

The Chrysler Building is renowned for its terraced crown, which is an extension of the main tower. Composed of seven radiating terraced arches, a radiating sunburst pattern with many triangular vaulted windows, eagle gargoyles echo the treatment of the 31st, to the spire.

Art Deco buildings have many of these features:

* Cubic forms
* Ziggurat shapes: Terraced pyramid with each story smaller than the one below it
* Complex groupings of rectangles or trapezoids
* Bands of color
* Zigzag designs
* Strong sense of line
* Illusion of pillars
The architect, William Van Alen, drew inspiration from machine technology for the ornamental details on the Chrysler Building: There are eagle hood ornaments, hubcaps and abstract images of cars.

 • CEREC state of the art technology. Close up of 3D Ceramic Dental Reconstruction on Computer Screen, step by step: Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided machinery
(CAD/CAM) An optical 3D image is acquired with a small camera in he patients mouth.

The restoration is created on the screen using the image data. Diamond coated instruments mill a ceramic block to reproduce the design. After polishing a new restoration fits precisely. A light hardens the bonding material, uniting porcelain and tooth. Polishing ensures a smooth and natural feel.

The color and appearance makes the ceramic material blend with the teeth. The porcelain is then bonded to the patients teeth.

A crown is basically a cap for a damaged tooth. It can be made from a variety of materials, including metal or porcelain.
