This is a grassroots, nonviolent movement, made up of multi-generations of all ages and social-economic backgrounds. They call themselves the "99%" .

They are about income equality and social justice issues but remained loosely organized and there were no specific demand. They come out for their own reasons rather than the reasons that someone else has given to them.

Some protesters want the movement to rally around a goal, while others insist that isn't the point.

 • Saveway Construction Enterprise crew cutting and digging up street for replacement of new gas pipes in Waverly Place, Greenwich Village, NYC.

Public officials and engineers have long warned about the dangers posed by the outdated, moldering pipelines that snake beneath the streets of major cities like New York, feeding gas into the furnaces of millions of homes.

For nearly two decades, federal authorities have directed pipeline operators to replace these leak-prone, cast-iron lines with pipes made of plastic and other modern materials. And many states, including New York, have embarked on programs to do just that.

But these efforts could take decades to complete, and in the meantime, weakened pipes could spring deadly leaks.

This possibility and the need for repairs have come into sharp focus in the aftermath of an explosion that tore apart two buildings in Manhattan one morning, killing at least seven people and injuring dozens more.

Pipe layer pipe fitting or pipe fitting is the occupation of installing or repairing piping or tubing systems that convey liquid, gas, and occasionally solid materials. This work involves selecting and preparing pipe or tubing, joining it together by various means, and the location and repair of leaks.

Handsome, chameleon character actor and sometimes lead, best known for his performances in Paint Your Wagon (1969), the TV series The Young and the Restless (1973), and Bang the Drum Slowly (1973) in which he also sang the title song. Ligon created the role of Orson in the prize-winning Off-Broadway musical 'Your Own Thing', and starred on Broadway opposite Geraldine Page in "Angela" and with Sandy Duncan in "Love is a Time of Day." While attending St. Alban's School in Washington, DC, he broke his leg playing football, and his interest turned from sports to theater. At Yale, where he graduated as an English major, he was discovered by Tennessee Williams, who saw his performance as Kilroy in Williams' play, "Camino Real."

He and friend Sam Waterston shared a New York City apartment in the early 1960s when they were struggling young actors, splitting rent of $25 a month. Watertson left to get married.
GoTopless Day falls precisely on Women's Equality Day, Aug 26. It is indeed on Aug 26, 1920 that women earned their right to vote on the basis of Gender Equality. In 1971, the US Congress has made Aug 26 into a nationally recognized date and named it "Women's Equality Day". The president of the United States is summoned to commemorate this date each year.
