Chinese ethnic pride and tradition during the Year of the Dog, Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration in New York Chinatown.

Chinese Fan Dance dates from 2,000 years ago and was developed during the Han dynasty. The Art of the dance conveys the hue, extravagance and splendor of the Chinese culture. Based on simple Chinese body movements, allowing the dance to be very soft and flowing continuously.

Ethnic pride and tradition in the Year of the Dog, Chinese Lunar New Year two week celebration in the pan-Asian community.

Year of Dogs means that those born in the years (after late January in 1934, 1946, 1958,1979, 1982, 1994, 2006) are loyal and honest, able to keep secrets, have a strong sense of justice, are good leaders and friends and are eloquent and sensitive. The movements evoke feelings, create images, and tell stories.
