The Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, New York City. This Episcopal church was founded in 1868 to be a parish church in the then-new Longacre Square neighborhood. The church was built to express Catholic thought in the Episcopal Church, and was named after the Blessed Mother of Jesus. The church is located at 145 West 46th Street, and is open daily for worship. Some call it "Smoky Mary's" because of the incense used during services.
