Emily Anne Smykal tattoos on her body.
Map of Intentions: The right side of my body is all the spiritual archetypes, small gods, people who have helped me, and basically life and death as told through tattoo art. The left side of my body is the Afterlife - my left arm is my "vineyard", or view of heaven. Anything on my back on the right side of my body will be things that "have my backClo", and anything on my left side will be things I want to "put behind me". Anything across my shoulders or full back will "bridge the gap" between past and future, and will be the defining imagery of my personality.
Tattoos are no longer just a male thing, young women are just as likely to get a tattoo as males.
"According to a 2006 Pew survey, 40% of Americans between the ages of 26 and 40 have been tattooed".
