Sucelt Coffee Shop a Hispanic American Coffee Shop that is being forced out of business of 31 years because of the raising cost of rent in Manhattan. The coffee shop opened in July 1976, when the blocks around it wer heavily Latino, with Cubans, Colombians. Jehnny Navarro the present owner and her sister Yvonne, took over in 2000 from her father Juan Grafia, who initially sold Cuban food and then slowly transitioned into mote diverse Latin menu with the help of his Columbian wife Sucelt, after whom the he named the resturant..Aside from the increasing rent, she could no longer have a kitchen in the basement due to fire department regulations banning opening flam cooking in cellars.
