Young people and students protested for the right to abortion in the Washington Park. protest occurred less than
24 hours after Politico leaked a Supreme Court opinion draft to strike down Roe v. Wade, the 1973 court case that guaranteed the right to abortion.
The opinion also suggests overturning the 1992 case Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which reaffirmed the right despite allowing several restrictions. In the leaked draft, Samuel Alito, a conservative justice appointed by George W. Bush, called Roe v. Wade “egregiously wrong from the start.”

The color green, which has come to symbolize the pro- choice movement. In the last few years, the “green wave” has swept Latin America, achieving \abortion rights wins in Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia.
