The March for Science in NYC was one of several held across the country. Thousands of scientists, teachers, students and others marched through Manhattan to protest President Donald Trump’s approach to science, including his job picks for top regulatory posts and proposed cuts to research funding.

Many got creative with their signs, pulling inspiration from the science field itself.

Marchers held signs with slogans such as, “The oceans are rising and so are we,” and, “Denial is not a policy,”

Some marchers also held signs with a silhouette of President Donald Trump and messages such as “absolute zero” and “black hole.”
