My tattoo: "The tribal bio mechanical design that tied my entire arm of 3 tattoos together. This was done by Lior Cifer of Infernum tattoos on 1st Ave. between St. Marks and 9th street in NYC.
I asked him to come up with a concept for a tribal piece, but done in the biomechanical style. In a few days, he produced a few ideas for me over pictures of my arm, we agreed on some changes and I was in by the weekend. Took about 15 hours, one 6 hour night session and then the entire evening and night the next day. He rocked it and turned my arm into a complete work of art. The saddest thing about it is that H.R. Giger passed away the following week. What I love most about it is that it has become a huge tribute, and amazing piece of art to remember one of the most influential artists to me throughout my life. I grew up very immersed in the world of Alien, Giger's artwork, and all that it influenced. There was a great deal of biomechanical influence within the artwork of the Magic set that was denoted with the poison symbol on my arm as well, so it is all connected deeper than the skin so to speak.
To put it simply, my right arm is a tribute to everything artistic I've held with the utmost appreciation. It is a reminder that death is always there, and to keep pushing forward for the life that we are lucky to have, and the people in that life that we are lucky to know. The piece in memory of my brother emphasizes all of this to an even higher elevation."
