Architectural sculpture is the use of sculptural techniques by an architect and/or sculptor in the design of a building, bridge, mausoleum or other such project.
It has also been defined as "an integral part of a building or sculpture created especially to decorate or embellish an architectural structure."
Fearless Girl is a bronze sculpture by Kristen Visbal, the statue was originally installed on March 7, 2017, at Bowling Green in the Financial District of Manhattan. By the end of 2018 she was moved to a new location facing the New York Stock Exchange.
Fearless Girl is meant to "send a message" about workplace gender diversity and encourage companies to recruit women to their boards.
The "Fearless Girl" has drawn widespread attention. Tourists have taken countless pictures with the girl and dressed her with both pink Pussyhats from the Women's March to red Make American Great Again caps from President Trump's campaign.
