George Kalodimas started as a tattoo apprentice in 2005 and got into geometric art and tattooing in 2007. Since his beginning, has achieved notoriety and at international tattoo conventions. He moved to New York in 2021 to join the roster of artists at South Shore Tattoo in New York.

In 2023 Kalodimas opened his own private studio, the As Above Tattoo in Amityville, New York.

A mandala is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas may be employed for focusing attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and
is an aid to meditation and trance induction.

In the Eastern religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Shinto it is used as a map representing deities, or especially in the case of Shinto, paradises, kami or actual shrines.

A mandala generally represents the spiritual journey, starting from outside to the inner core, through layers.

MOTHER EARTH is a diverse group exhibition consisting of 20 local and international artists working with the themes of motherhood, ecological conservation and the natural earth. The gallery will be donating 10% of the profits from sales from the show to Rainforest Trust, a non-profit organization with the mission to save millions of acres of rainforest across the world.
