Shapeshifting, invisibility, flight, time travel… immortality? But what else makes you a superhero; your caring nature, resilience in the face of adversity, or maybe it’s your endearing empathy for others?
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, also known as Gandhi, as an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist and political ethicist who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British rule, and to later inspire movements for civil rights and freedom.

Gandhi's statements, letters and life have attracted much political and scholarly analysis of his principles, practices and beliefs, including what influenced him.

Although Gandhi was not the originator of the principle of nonviolence, he was the first to apply it in the political field on a large scale. The concept of nonviolence has a long history in Indian religious thought, with it being considered the highest dharma (ethical value virtue), a precept to be observed towards all living beings, at all times, in all respects, in action, words and thought.

Gandhi e explains his philosophy and ideas about ahimsa as a political means in his autobiography The Story of My Experiments with Truth,

Gandhi's birthday, 2 October, is commemorated in India as Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday, and .as
the International Day of Nonviolence. Gandhi is commonly, though not formally, considered the Father of the National India and was commonly called Bapu endearment for father, papa.
Atiqtalik shows the largest bear in the world and her gentle side. This female roams the freezing sea ice of the Arctic Circle with her thick winter coat for protection. Yet she is vulnerable to extinction. With Arctic sea ice cover declining by about 14% per decade due to climate change it is harder for her to hunt, sometimes forcing her into human settlements. Exploration such as for oil is also disrupting her delicate ecosystem, and a spill could be deadly.

Chemical erosion includes ‘disruption through soluble salts’, in which the stones draw up ground water and salt can be drawn into and crystallize within the stones. Sept. 20, 2020, the digital clock got reprogrammed. The Metronome is currently a Climate Clock representing two messages: the time left to dramatically reduce carbon emissions and the estimated percentage of the world’s energy being supplied by renewable sources.

Over a hundred feet high, it fills the outside wall of a building that faces Union Square. Plumes of white steam occasionally puff out of a hole ("The Infinity") at the center of a bulls-eye of 24 carat gold-covered bricks ("The Vortex"), topped by a giant hand ("The Relic"), none of which has
much to do with telling time -- except for the puffs, which are especially big at noon and midnight.

The work was made of marble and sculpted by the Piccirilli Brothers, with each sculptural group costing $13,500.[ From east to west, the statues depicted larger-than-life-size personifications of Asia, America, Europe, and Africa. The primary figures were female, but there were also auxiliary human figures flanking each primary figure. In addition, Asia's figure was paired with a tiger, and Africa's figure was paired with a lion

 • A Tiffany Style Lamp is not an authentic Tiffany Lamp. Original Louis Comfort Tiffany Lamps were not made after 1930 when Tiffany Studios closed. The name “Tiffany” has become synonymous with all lamps of the same style and many producers such as will include the term “Tiffany” in their lamp names by default.

How to tell a real Tiffany lamp from a fake

1. First, turn the lamp over and look under the base. Lift the cap and look for a grey metal ring. The original Tiffany lamps were made with a heavy ring made from lead inside a hollow bronze (or sometimes enameled or mosaic) base. Reproduction lamps tend to use brass, zinc, white metal, wood or even plastic bases instead.

2. The original bronze (or similar metal) base should have a patina, i.e. a brownish or greenish film on the surface of the metal that occurs naturally as a result of oxidation over a long period. While these small colour changes should indicate that the lamp is an original Tiffany, beware that some forgeries may have fake patina.

3. It’s important to carefully inspect the quality of the workmanship of lamp base, as this should give you a good indication of whether or not the lamp is real. A genuine Tiffany lamp base will ooze quality, while cheaper reproductions use inferior materials such as zinc, resin or hard plastic, and shoddy workmanship.

4. Stamps or signatures may be a sign of authenticity, but you need to know what you’re looking for. Tiffany’s marking system consists of cuttings or etchings in the lamp base which changed over the years and is therefore easy to copy. Don’t rely on this one feature.

Facing south on the 25th Street side is Zoroaster, which was along with all 25th Street statues moved down one bay when Mohammed was removed in 1955, following protests against this image of the prophet from Muslim nations
